Shepherd Chartered Surveyors

"First class service. Surveyor arrived on time, conducted the survey in a professional manner and my draft report was ready for approval within 24 hours."

"Failed to identify copious amounts of asbestos in the house I purchased. Loose asbestos boards were lying around the garden and should have easily been identified by a chartered surveyor in addition to exposed areas within the home. Numerous other inaccuracies in the home report. Unsure what level of visit was made to the property. I was told photos were taken of the areas in question but none could be produced. I found Graeme Stewart, managing partner to be particularly unprofessional and rude in dealing with my complaint. Internal inquiry found no wrong-doing which is hardly unsurprising. Requested information on how to raise my complaint further with ombudsman or regulatory body but communication was ignored."

"Surveyors came out to complete a valuation on my property for a re-mortgage. They were quite rude did not take theirs shoes off and walked all over my cream rugs and bedroom carpet with their muddy shoes on. No offer or apology. Customer service very poor."

"I have worked professionally with Shepherd Surveyors for 11 years during which time they have carried out over 900 home reports for our clients. I've always found their knowledge, expertise and service to be superb. I would recommend Shepherd Surveyors for carrying out your home report and furthermore should you need a more in depth survey of a property that you intend to buy, which is displaying potential underlying issues, their assessment will be invaluable. "This company done a home report for myself when selling my house, they said my house had Japenese Knotweed which they identified incorrectly. It almost caused a sale to collapse. I would never use them again after the lack of help and urgency i received after contacting them about the mistake"
